YXE Urban Games is a beloved annual event in Saskatoon.
The games bring Saskatoon to life with a variety of sporting competitions and activities. Discover Saskatoon partnered with STEALTH for a video that would capture the energy and highlight the locations where events would take place.
Setting the Scene from Above
We pre-planned and captured aerial drone footage of the event’s locations.
This sweeping view of the city showcased the spots where sports and games would unfold and served as the backdrop for the video.
Three-Dimensional Immersion
We animated icons to represent the events and games.
These animations were integrated into the footage using 3D camera tracking and an entire simulated 3D environment. Elements pop up, spin around, and interact seamlessly with the environment, with proper sizes, distances, and shadows.
Bringing the Logo to Life
We animated the YXE Urban Games Logo, inspired by the energy of the event.
Each motion was carefully designed to reflect the intensity and rhythm of activities like motocross, basketball, and more, ensuring the logo captured the true spirit of the games.
Amplifying the Hype
The video was a key aspect of a strategic digital campaign.
We leveraged this video across social media, websites, and presentations to maximize reach and build anticipation. Dynamic visuals and high-energy storytelling captured the essence of the event, driving attendance among volunteers, participants, and the general public.
