Starting today, Saskatoon will play host to the annual Saskatchewan Jazz Festival. This event draws a large crowd every year and usually includes big name artists, up and comers and classic artists which plays on the Saskatoon Brand. Over the years, the festival has evolved and now includes artists in other genres including Latin, Blues, Indie, Rock, Pop, Country, R&B, Funk, and many others. However, one thing that has not changed is the roots of Jazz and the purpose of the festival – to bring people who love timeless music together. People are still listening to and enjoying Jazz music which rose up in the 1920s in North America.
If you want your company to redefine your industry (the way that Jazz redefined music) and make lasting impressions for years to come here are three things to try:
Focus on the Journey.
To build a company that can withstand the test of time it’s a wise decision to focus on building a base of satisfied customers, quality products and a lasting brand. If you’re only building a company in hopes of being bought out in a few years, you’re brand will be lacking. Jazz music is not built on the destination but the journey through the notes and the story you can communicate.
Find Your Passion.
One thing that is undeniable about musicians (including jazz musicians) is their passion for music. If you build a company around something you’re passionate about, the passion will shine through and drive every decision you make. Stealth’s passion is building your company into the success it was meant to be.
Adapt. But Remember Your Roots.
If you’re not progressing, you’re regressing. Always strive to adapt to the changing social and economic atmospheres, but don’t forget about the first two points – passion and the journey. Jazz music has evolved and transformed over the past nearly 100 years that it has been a part of North American culture. You know what didn’t adapt to new eras of music – The Waltz (Don’t be a Waltz, be like Jazz).
At STEALTH, our purpose is to build your company into a success, and our passion is to create effective marketing and our ability to adapt is unparalleled. Check out our values and if you’re interested in working with us, give us a call.
